This week was an interesting week. In this post I will go over what I did. Still trying to expand my knowledge of the computer sciences. Some of the topics include OOP, PHP, my Bday (WHOOP WHOOP!!!), and projects I'm working on.

PHP Programming Language (NEW SKILL!!!) / Projects on Upwork
I have begun to look for projects on Upwork to gain experience working for others. I am not too worried about pay at this moment. I'm really just in it to learn new skills, get a feel for interviews dealing with tech, and put the pressure on to build my problem-solving skills! I actually have an interview Monday to see if I would be the right fit this company for a small project. It deals with using PHP, HTML, and Excel. Tbh, I have not worked with PHP before so I spent most of the weekend working through a video on YouTube "PHP Programming Language Tutorial - Full Course" by freeCodeCamp.org. The video covered many topics such as basic syntax, some basic DSA's, and more. Honestly, was not difficult and I was happy about that. I was able to use a lot of my knowledge I already had. A lot of the syntax was similar to Javascript with a few differences. I thought the video was very easy to follow, insightful, and I would suggest to a friend. As long as you had some basic understanding of HTML and DSA's, it will be a breeze.
Data Structure & Algorithms (Arrays, Linked Lists, and Sorting Problems mostly)
This week I continued to reaffirm what I have been learning over the past few months by purchasing a lifelong subscription to Neetcode.io. I have earned a few certifications in Python and the basic understanding of DSA's over the last 4 to 5 months, but I understand the necessity to continuously improve those skills. So I chose to start reaffirming everything I have learned from Codecademy.com by working on Leetcode.com and following the instructions and lessons from Mr. Neetcode himself.
Object Oriented Programming
I have also began dabbling in the basic concepts of OOP as well. Each time I look at a Software Engineer job announcement I tend to see this required skill quite a bit. So far I get it and find it quite interesting, but feel I need to focus on OOP in an actual project setting to lock it down. I'll get to it soon I think.
SEO
Was introduced to a friend that works heavily with SEO recently. Have decided to take on the task to learn this as a side project in the hopes of not only gaining experience, but also a working relationship that my new friend and myself could benefit from.

I think this is self explanitory! Isn't it great??!! I will continue to update this blog once a week for now, along with each new certification I earn and any other ideas I might think of for making this site better.
Ideas and Planned Learning for This Week (12/18 - 12/24)
Planned Learning: I plan to keep working on Neetcode.io and Leetcode.com to gain a better understanding of DSA's. We will also see how this interview tomorrow goes! Fingers crossed. I think I will also begin getting familiar with Java as well seeing as how it is as widely used as Python is. I will definitely learn more per the usual, just have not thought of what else to learn just yet.
Ideas: Discord Bot that plays an interactive game of tag with a group of friends.
Thanks for partaking in my life! Happy Holidays!!!
