The Future, the New Year, and New Friends
You can be the King of the World, but without your friends could you have made it where you are now?

First, the serious stuff!!
I haven't posted in a couple of weeks due to the Holidays. I wanted to spend quality time with my family and help get the house reset for the New Year. It has been a blast tbh. Here is what I accomplished over the last two weeks regarding my education and projects:
Created new work relationships with people aspiring to become Software Engineers (Study groups and 1-on-1 counselings).
Cont. studying Data Structure & Algorithms (Arrays, Linked Lists, and Sorting Problems mostly).
Was accepted to work on a project that included sorting large databases and refining them to the client's needs.
Started new course called "Introduction to Logic" hosted by Stanford University.
Serious Stuff Meat & Potatoes
New Friends
So basically, I began networking! I understood that it was an important thing to do but I had not done this with much purpose till now. I now have joined a study group with others that have true SDE experience. I have also created a weekly routine with a new friend to practice mock interviews and study how to better optimize DSA problems. Lastly, I have requested to be mentored by a highly experience Google Software Engineer. Just waiting to hear back on that one.
DSA Problems on Leetcode/Neetcode
With the new guidance from my study group, I decided to go back and rework my completed DSA problems and focus more primarily on the logic of the questions. I have noticed that I am starting to understand the questions better. I have even been able to successfully complete new questions in a single or a few attempts.
New Project and New Course
There is not much to update with this at the moment due to having just started on both of these. I have yet to really get rolling on the project due to the holidays but will update more as new information comes. I also began the new course on Logic today.
I am very excited for this year. There is a lot of work to do still but looking back I have come a long way. A solid 6 months of programming and projects completed. It is becoming clearer what my path to a Software Engineer consists of. Thinking about it seems to only motivate and excite me. To the New Year!
